As a child, I created my own library system for my Little Golden books (many of which I still have and in the back are check-out cards for Lisa's Library). As a child, I read every chance I could get (and still do), often with someone coming into the room to turn the light on (which still happens). I would rather read and write than breath. I recently completed a Masters degree and my favorite part was the hours and hours and hours of writing - finding the right word is for me like putting together a puzzle.

I am married to D., we have 3 cats, no children, 11 nieces and nephews and a gigantic organic garden in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. I long for the Appalachian mountains of my childhood and relish every chance I get to go home to them.

Currently, I am working on telling my maternal grandmother's story, which is my story too.
